In this video post I take you behind the scenes into my nature journaling process. While ideally I like to nature journal in the field or later on in the same day, sometimes that isn’t possible. That was definitely the case this spring during peak warbler migration, when I spent A LOT of time in the field and was too exhausted to do much of anything by the time I got home.
What I did manage to do was jot down notes in my pocket journal so I could remember key moments from each day. That way I could go back later and create pages in my larger nature journal using both the notes and my photos for reference. I started with May 8th, perhaps one of the best days I’ve ever had while birding.
