Thanks, James! I think 2024 will go down as the year of the Sedge Wren for me. There were a few individuals at the park that were consistently cooperative for photos.
This is a wonderful account of three wonderful days at a wonderful park, Kelly. The text and the photos and your art draw a picture that is every bit as beautiful as actually being there. Thanks for helping me relive those moments!
I smiled throughout my reading of this newsletter. I remember so vividly of course the gymnast sedgie, but also just as strong a memory was the excitement of those nighthawks and the huge cloud of chimneys right at the start. Thanks for helping me relive this :). I also remember your bat day!! How exciting to read about that again, too.
Your Sedge Wren photos are always so beautiful, Kelly.

SIXTEEN sparrows on one birdwalk!!??! What did you do right in your past life?
Loved reading this. What thrilling days in my favorite park I’ve never been to.
Right!? It was a fantastic day.
I'm thrilled it's your favorite park you've never been to, Nate. You'll have to meet it IRL sometime!
That is definitely happening someday
Yay!

You are so welcome, Dan! I was smiling ear to ear as I wrote it, and am so glad you enjoyed these summaries too.

I’m so happy you enjoyed reading it, MarÃa, and even happier you were there. I think that Sedgie may be one of my favorite birds of all time.
I just wanna know how they do that leg thing.
Man, they are so much better than we are.
